Had a TCM failure that left me stranded 300 miles from home. Dan overnighted a TCM to somewhere local and I was up and running within 48 hours. Away he even communicated back and forth with me to ensure the TCM was the culprit so I didn't waste money. I went with the custom tuned version and after the trans finished learning it shifts like butter and puts the power down ten times better than before. I'll never buy from anywhere else. Quality product, easy install, excellent customer service, what else can you ask for? Only 5 stars, because 10 isn't an option.

My 2011 Duramax was broke down with a failed TCM. I found Dan's ad on YouTube for the pre programmed TCM and a description of symptoms that matched my truck's issues exactly. I ordered the performance TCM from Dan's and had it shipped overnight. It arrived at about 9am the next morning and 10 minutes later my truck was fixed without a trip to the dealer or being down for several days. I'm very happy I found it online and very impressed with the fast shipping. So far I'm very happy with the way my truck performs with the new TCM.

Update: in March I drove my truck 3500 miles round trip from Wisconsin to Daytona Florida pulling my 30' toyhauler and the TCM performed flawlessly.

My TCM started giving me issues on my 2013 Chevy Duramax. Got some quotes, $1100-1300 to replace the TCM. Luckily did some more research and found DDP’s TCM. Ordered it, plugged it in, and my truck was back in action. That simple, no BS. The tunes are great, and are the same EFI Live tunes I was running on my original TCM. If you don’t have them already, get them.

2009 GMC Sierra failed TCM at 100k miles, left me setting. Called Dans mid day Monday 4/20/20 and discussed issue. Phone rang 3 times and a real person answered that spoke English, never put on hold once. Followed up to order part the same day (30 minutes before close). Overnight shipping and the part arrived 11am 4/21/20. 5 minute install and back on the road. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

100% best experience I have had with any diesel shop, online resources and online store. Called these folks up late in the day yesterday- told my sad TCM story and prior self-diagnosis.
Danny affirmed my troubleshooting and felt as I did that it probably was indeed the TCM. They took a lot of time patiently listening to my story- and helping me through a logic-flow analysis. Also- these guys answered every phone call, and every text I made- immediately. I needed it next day and they were able to send it next day- extra postage was well worth it at under $100 for me in AZ- money well spent. I just installed it, fired up the truck- and all errors are cleared, and the tranny display indicators are 100% back to normal. I have an H&S MiniMaxx tuner mostly for the delete function- and this new TCM is Plug-and-Play. Can't wait to drive it- haven't left the parking lot yet- more work to do on other items. My truck threw a “Lost communication with TCM code” wouldn’t move anywhere and no gears. I ordered this at 11am on Friday (5/22/2020) paid for next day air and got it on Saturday at 11am (5/23/2020) already plugged in and back on the road, Dan is a godsend and I can’t thank him enough for helping me out!

I made the call yesterday around 2pm. Today I received the new TCM before 10am as promised. After a 3 minute install, my truck is running perfectly. I was hesitant to pull the trigger just incase I had a possible wiring short. After a brief conversation with Dan's, we narrowed down my symptoms to be 99% a bad TCM. It was the right choice! Many thanks to JD. The TCM didn't fail all at once in my truck, which made troubleshooting a lot of fun. It also didn't show the normal symptoms of a TCM failing. JD was gracious enough to listen to me on several calls. The first call, he was not convinced it was the TCM. So he said "I would love to sell it to you, but I'm not convinced its going to fix the issues you are having". To have honesty like that in today's world is so refreshing. That is ultimately what earned my business. After additional calls, after more troubleshooting, we got to about 70% confidence that it was the TCM. So I bit the bullet and spent the money, ordered at 14:30 on Friday, had it in the truck by 11:00 Sat. Of course spent the money for overnight Sat shipping. Fired it up and all initial symptoms were gone. Took it for a test drive, and for the most part, couldn't even feel it shifting, especially in the lower gears. Drove it around all weekend, and it shifts so smooth and flawlessly.

Late Friday afternoon on my way to vacation in SC towing my 12K lb. 5th wheel, my 2011 2500HD Duramax check engine light came on and the Allison went into neutral at 65 mph while on the interstate 32 miles from my destination. Was able to get the tranny into limp mode 3rd gear enough to get us to the rv park. Picked up a code reader and found 56 DTC's. My wife googled a few of the DTC's and Dan's Diesel Performance popped up. We watched Dan's TCM video and pretty much determined the problem was the factory GM TCM. I called Dan's Monday morning talked to J.D. and he walked me through a few steps that confirmed the TCM was the problem. J.D. completed my order on the phone at 9:30 AM ET and the UPS truck arrived at the rv park office at 8:15 the next morning with my new enhanced calibrated TCM. Within 10 minutes my Allison problems were over. Hats off to J.D. and Dan's team for outstanding customer support. They literally saved my vacation. I'll be calling Dan's for all my Durmax/Allison needs going forward.

My issues came on quickly. First I had noticed the clunk noise when placing the truck in Drive. The next day the truck would not shift normally. Came to a light and at take off the transmission was in a lower gear. I new something was going on but no engine check light at that time. Made a stop, restarted the truck still having shift issues with the clunk and I also had a click noise when I took my foot off the brake pedal. Then the engine check light came on. Ran a diagnosis check with two confirmed codes P0700 and P0708 with a total of 11 error code issues. Checked codes and fixes and came across Dan's Diesel Performance made a call discussed truck issues and determined it was the Transmission Control Module. Ordered the part on a Wednesday and received on Friday (ground delivery). Simple removal, plug-in. Started the truck engine check light was still on but went off within about 10 seconds. Truck preformed perfectly. Thanks to Dan’s Diesel Perforamance.

I had my factory TCM go out. After a fair amount of research, literally everybody recommended this product. I ordered it and it arrived in a couple days, even with the cheapest shipping. It got my truck back on the road for a fraction of the price of a factory part. And the performance gains were immediately noticeable. I can’t recommend Dan’s enough.

Tranny failed, but luckily I was able to limp it home in 3rd gear. Researched TSBs and the tranny failures of others. I called Dan's to ask for input about possibly having had the TCM fail in our 2009 Duramax, and about their replacement TCM if the probability was that it had failed. After discussing what was and was not working with the tranny failure, JD, Danny and the team helped confirm failure of the TCM. After discussing the option of the Factory Calibrated unit or the Enhanced Calibration unit I selected the Enhanced unit. They immediately shipped it that day, late on a Friday evening. I just now received the unit and installed it in five (5) minutes. Fixed! On top of this performance was definitely enhanced! JD, Dan and the team saved me so much worry and cost to repair a failed transmission that had not really failed. I seriously can't thank and recommend them enough. They provide a phenomenal service and product! All business's should be modeled after Dan's Diesel Performance.

I was trying to find a way to fix the sluggish acceleration in between shifts, so when my traction control system was acting up and the shifting went out (fortunately I was at home) this repair took care of it.

I bought my Duramax 5 months ago, I had signs pointed towards my TCM going bad almost since the day I bought it. Finally it got to a point where I couldn’t even move it around my driveway. I called and talked to Dan’s diesel and explained what was going on with the truck, they helped point me In the right direction and narrow down what might be wrong. Had all of the symptoms of a TCM failure (code # U0101 communication failure w/TCM). Called Dan and he pointed me in the right direction. I bought from him the enhanced TCM for my Duramax. Arrived quickly and had the truck up and running within 5 minutes. Best part of this transaction is the Lifetime Warranty on the unit...although, I don't expect to use it.

I was getting an intermittent service stabilitrak light for several weeks. Then got a check engine light, lost the shift indicator and the transmission was slamming into drive and would not shift out of 3rd gear. Ordered the preprogrammed TCM on Tuesday, received it Friday. Took a few minutes to install. The hardest part was getting the plastic clips out of the fan shroud. Completely fixed all the issues and I could immediately hear the difference when shifting into drive. It was so smooth I wasn’t sure that I even heard it. After talking it for a ride the difference was extraordinary. Shifts so smoothly and down shifts when stopping which will definitely prolong brake life. Saved me a boatload of money on service! Can’t wait to check the mpg for a difference. Thanks Dan!

Dans diesel saved my a**! Tcm in my 2011 decided to stop working one night a few days before my vacation which I needed my truck so I could pull the boat. Dans overnighted the new tcm to me and a sales rep even called me before they shipped to help diagnose the problem to make sure I really needed it so I didn't waste my money. Hard to find good companies that actually care about their customers and not just the money. I'll definitely buy from here again and recommend to everyone I know! 2009 duramax tcm failed. I live in the middle of nowhere and closest dealer was 60 miles away. Estimate on repair 900.00 and two weeks to get me in..another 500.00 for a tow. Called Dan's they overnight shipped a new one of their enhanced tcm. Took about 5 minutes to unhook battery and switch parts out and back in business. Keep up the good work boys and thanks.

The problem surfaced when we went to take a drive. The indications were engine light, stabitrack needs service, and the line under the gear indicator was missing. In addition the truck was stuck in 1st gear and would not shift. I discovered Dan's shop on line by review of other satisfied customers. I ordered the TCM overnight, it arrived, pugged it in and off I went. Given that I am miles from the nearest shop, it was a breath of fresh air to have found Dans Shop. The truck is learning now, but already I can feel better throttle response and smoother shifting. I just got the TCM about 2 hrs ago, I ordered it friday so it took about 4 days. It took about 10/15 mins to install and then went for a ride, as i was driving all my lights went out and it shifting is a lot better. I got the enhanced calibration and seems to work great. I don't write reviews, and I was very skeptical of my TCM actually being bad. Should I spend $750 on something that I cant return? After talking to Jim he was confident that I needed the TCM and I ordered. Shipped promptly and it was plug and play. Easiest and smoothest transaction! My only recommendation would be to send a couple of the plastic clips with as they usually break when you try to remove..

- THIS is a product every single duramax owner should invest in, even if your truck is running "fine." After installing this TCM, you will think your truck was in limp mode its entire life. Seriously, seriously.

- Incredible, Incredible product! I purchased the enhanced TCM for towing. This truck has never ran this good! Truck springs into action loaded, unloaded, it doesn't matter. Shifts perfect, tows hard, better mpg.

-Truck was stating "shift selection inhibited, place in nuetral to reset." Also would not allow me to shift into any gear. Check engine light P0700 generic TCM illumination. Fluid level was fine.

My truck went into the "limp mode" without warning in a parking lot as I was getting ready to drive home. Luckily I didn't live far away and was able to nurse it home. I called my GMC Dealer.

After waiting for a week for an appointment I took my truck into the dealer for their "diagnosis", that was $170 and I already knew the problem because I have my own code reader........oh well. After the "diagnosis" I got the "bad news", they couldn't fix my truck because there were no TCM's available in the USA.

I decided to search the internet for parts and found Dan's website. I watched his vid, talked to friends and finally decided to give Dan a call.......he answered the phone personally and was very patient as he answered all of my concerns. I ordered the TCM and it arrived the next day!
