Why would you need an HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge?
The LLY Duramax from the factory has an extremely restrictive charge air system. HSP Diesel quickly realized how much power and potential was being left on the table using the small-diameter factory tubes. While this seemed like the best idea at the time with current technology and understanding of the potential of these vehicles we were able to tell that the factory LLY system really did need more air.
What does the HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge do differently?
To start the HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge is a 3" diameter tube. This is a huge increase compared to the factory parts. We also are very careful when making our bends, we say this because we want to make sure that the bends are made in a sweeping style. What the sweeping style does is creates bends that can move air while decreasing the amount of turbulence that is created. HSP Diesel saw that the HSP Cold Side Tube to Factory Bridge will flow up to 53% above what the factory parts are capable of.
